Detroit Public Schools Summer Emergency Repair Plan

The Detroit Public Schools required emergency repair during the ten-week summer recess. The processes involved with this project included assessing critical areas requiring repairs, obtaining individual building management approval (school principals), scheduling, bidding, awarding work prior to the tight thirty-day construction period. Construction work consisted of electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC renovations, glazing, doors, flooring, drywall, plastering, painting, carpeting and miscellaneous roof repairs. Extensive planning and coordination between Roncelli, Inc. and the Detroit School System allowed for the seamless and efficient completion of all work.
