Chrysler Historical Museum

Roncelli has brought Chrysler’s vision for this one-of-a-kind corporate automotive museum to fruition on a 10-acre site near the company’s headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This tri-level building includes interior exhibit space, as well as an exterior brick paver courtyard for special events and vehicle display. The automotive theme is exemplified in the facility gift shop, a historical archive, and a research area. The two-story atrium includes a 125-seat theatre with three wide screens. The exterior Red Granite was field-set to stringent tolerances requiring a structure that was constructed to exact dimensions, perfectly plumb and level. This along with the black glass façade, and the glass pyramid over the atrium mirrors the nearby Chrysler Technology Center.
