Beaumont Health System West Parking Structure

Beaumont Hospitals – Parking Structures
Roncelli serves as the parking deck expert to Beaumont Hospitals. Serving as either the Design-Builder or the Construction Manager, Roncelli is proud of providing parking structure solutions for the Beaumont Royal Oak and Troy Campus locations.

West Parking Structure – Royal Oak, MI
This 2,042-car parking structure was constructed in three phases over 24 months and consists of five parking levels with two separate ramps and two adjacent surface lots with an additional 500-car capacity. Four glass-enclosed stairways and two elevators accent the contemporary architecture and enhance the security of the structure. Beaumont Hospital Security monitors the deck via 24-hour closed circuit TV and two-way communication devices located throughout the structure and surrounding surface lots.

Roncelli, Inc. was the Construction Manager for the project as well as self-performing all cast in place concrete work. Completed in three phases, the exterior is one seamless facade finished with spandrel glass, which gives the structure a clean look and allows employees and visitors the choice of either covered or surface parking.

This project also included the relocation of several major county and hospital utilities, the creation of a surface lot drainage system, and a storm water retention pond, allowing the hospital to meet the new run-off requirements established by the Oakland County Drain Commission.

This project was particularly challenging due to the location of the structure, ( next to the Emergency Room and Helicopter Pad ) as well as the substantial number of employees, and high volume of patients treated at the Royal Oak Campus.
