In order to meet the hospital’s demanding schedule, this project was completed within four weeks–from selective demolition to receipt and installation of a new Flash CT. The project location, situated within an active Radiology Suite, required the highest level of infection control to ensure patient safety. A common control room was shared between an existing CT Room and the new Flash CT Room. Extreme dust control precautions were employed throughout the demolition, cutting and patching process.
Electrical and Plumbing work was conducted during off hours within the ceiling space of a Chemistry Laboratory located directly beneath the project space. Exisiting HVAC ductwork was relocated and improved to satisfy the new equipment cooling requirements. Lead shielding was installed in the new walls & ceilings, including replacement of defective lead underfloor materials.
