The project location, situated within an active Radiology Suite, required the highest level of infection control to ensure patient safety. So that patient care remained uninterrupted, numerous, quick construction phases were employed involving multiple relocations of radiology equipment and personnel as space was captured for the installation of a new Angiography Suite.
Electrical and Plumbing work was conducted during off hours within the ceiling space of a Food Service Kitchen and Dining Area located directly beneath the project space. Existing building infrastructure components were photographed and diagrammed by Roncelli’s staff and reviewed with the hospital’s team prior to the start of any alterations, tie ins or relocations.
Staging, material deliveries and debris removal followed precise, pre-approved project logistic procedures employing “just-in-time” efficiency models. Medical gas interruptions to facilitate investigations, tie-in certifications and removals were all coordinated with patient care requirements over multiple locations within the hospital.
